Ohh my! You too are obsessed with his hands!? *finally not alone* You drew him amazing. Wonderful work on that big portrait. He looks handsome, awesome and classy. Especially really interesting gaze you gave him. A little bit surprised but catchy too. Pretty awesome, cross fingers for another works with Master Thief
We're together then! There should be a fanclub only for his gorgeous hands. xD Oh why thank you so much! Your comment made my day! It was so much fun drawing him, but challenging too, especially when it concerns his gaze. Garrett has piercing eyes that seem to look right into your soul, and I wanted to catch it in this drawing. I wasn't sure if I should be satisfied or not, until I read your awesome comment. There is high chance I'll draw him again, this game is driving me crazy, I love it too much. xD
Ohh yes! There should be, there should be! His hands are just perfect... Especially can't stop starring at them when he is opening safes or cutting off paintings... My gosh too perfect! And then there's only "load", "load", "load". That's why I love the new Thief. In Thief I or II we didn't have a chance to see his hands (anyway games are still a masterpieces for me!) and here this is a really yummy detail >w< Awww I'm so glad! Your work is truly masterpiece, you have a huge talent in capturing characters like Garrett. We can feel that this is him (I saw you Garrett ID - gonna comment this beauty too! ). His eyes are beautiful and, as you said earlier, really piercing. You made a really good work, you catch this and made us fangirls squee around your drawing Draw him again please! Your style suits him well and you are making him even more awesome!
Omg, so true! >w< Especially when he has to trigger the points behind the frame of a painting I can't help but let him slide his hands all over it. Yummy detail indeed! I'm so happy to meet a 'Garrett's hands' fan like you. The new Thief is really great, yes! Sadly I hadn't the chance to play Thief I and II, I've watched the walkthroughs, though. However, I've played 'deadly shadows' a few years ago, great game too. ^^ I admire Garrett so much. xD
Thank you so much, your words mean a lot to me. Really! I'm so motivated to draw him more! ^^ You've seen my Garrett ID? Omg, thank you!! But it's a bit crappy, a mere speed sketch. xD Thanks a lot!! I'll do my best!
Sorry for laaaaaate reply but I can't stand not to reply for this one >w<
Yes! His hands are so perfect! When I return to this game after some time and the first thing was cutting paint from frame I was like "My goooooosh!!!!!" Garrett's hands fans - let's unite! Ohh you must try Thief I and II, they are fantastic but graphic is too old for modern times. But this isn't a problem at all - it adds an unique atmosphere that newer versions don't have. Try this! ^^ You Garrett ID is awesome, I just love how you show his face and all those little details are just yummy!
Thank you very much for your kind message! It was fun drawing him. I'm happy you see it like that; sometimes I have difficulties to give the drawing an impression as if it's animated.
I can't say that I'm completely familiar with the whole series. I've watched some walkthroughs of the first and second 'Thief'. However, a few years ago I had the opportunity to play 'Deadly shadows'. I loved it very much and I've always been fascinated by Garrett's character, but it's only now while playing Thief4 that I'm starting to get really obsessed.
My pleasure. If you enjoy T3, you'll definitely be enamorated with the previous installments. Have you played any FMs? They are such an outstanding way to keep all those games so vivid. You basically pay for the trilogy once and then have fun "till death us departs", because there are hundreds of them. Most for T2 (there's a new patch, NewDark, which makes it look very different), then T1 and only around thirty for T3. If you have T3 around, you'll definitely want to play basically anything IronEagle makes and "Furious Flames" by Tiens. I suspect Eidos stole the idea from her regarding the fires.
Oh yes, I've heard about fan missions, especially furious flames, and it sounds really great! But I haven't tested it yet. Correct me if I'm wrong, I've heard that if you install it you can gain extra features as new kind of arrows for example. I've only tested one fan mission long ago on a different game. Would be cool to play them on Thief too. ^^ I must say, I haven't made the link with Eidos using Furious Flames' idea. xD
Yes, you're correct. "Furious Flames" is the first part of a campaign called "The Cabal", which is great, although personally I like the first mission the most. It was created by four authors, one of them was Polish (a comrade from Thief-Forum.pl, Judith). There are some new arrow types, whereas I heard IronEagle managed to make some makeshift rope arrows - with limited capabilities, but still!
